Since the 60s, Party Cove has opened its shores to party boats and party-goers alike. It has been heralded as one of the most active hot spots in the United States and definitely has kept that distinction quite well. It’s most certainly a bevy of sensual activity, as there is a loose clothes optional policy on the cove. It’s also quite active for those who like to drink while they party, making the summer months --especially around the Fourth of July-- quite wild.
People from all over the nation come to Party Cove to indulge in some of the decadence that’s all over the cove. Though it’s been a party place for 50 years, it hasn’t always been in the same spot. It’s most popularly known as Party Cove, but is really Anderson Hollow Cove, a cove that’s located on Osage Beach. However, it’s moved around a couple times. There were a number of places throughout the Ozarks that were given the title of “Party Cove”; however, in 1996 the Cove and its happenings were moved permanently to Anderson Hollow Cove.
Not only are there swarms of bodies taking dips and slips, there is a parade of boats that always make their way to Party Cove. Anywhere from 1500 to 3000 boats can be seen sprinkled along the shoreline of Party Cove. These vessels can collectively carry about 8000 passengers, making the party scene even more intense when all those people begin to get a few drinks in their systems. It’s an all day party during the summer months and has been documented as such on such television shows as A Current Affair and Playboy TV.
Though the Lake itself is a family friendly place, Party Cove is more or less for those who want to party all day and all night, get inebriated, and just enjoy the carefree --albeit, sometimes reckless-- parts of life. It’s a great deal of fun for anyone who wants to have a party and just let loose.
