Lake of the Ozarks Festivals

If there’s one thing that you can take away from the Lake of the Ozarks it’s that there are always festivals in the area. From musical festivals to day long carnivals, the Lake is most definitely an incredible place to be no matter what time of the year. If you’re interested in getting some great family fun and seeing the sights, you’ll certainly want to plan your week-end at the Lake around one of the many events that will, no doubt, be on site.

Lake of the Ozarks Festivals -- Continue

If you’re interested in the rich musical legacy that is prevalent in the Lake of the Ozarks, then you need to check out one of the many musical festivals that takes place. From Gospel to the Blues, the Lake of the Ozarks is just teeming with incredible musical talent. In late March, early April, you can experience the Great Lake of the Ozarks Gospel Sing. Groups come from all over the nation to fellowship and spread joy to those who come to enjoy the festivities. Of course, if you’re a dyed in the wool Jazz fan, you simply can’t miss the Annual Dixieland Jazz Festival. From the origins of Jazz to the newest permutations of Dixieland, you’ll be able to enjoy the music from morning until night.

There are, of course, more than just music festivals at the Lake. For those who are interested in all things that go “VROOM”, you’ll have to go to the Annual Magic Dragon Street Meet Nationals Car Show. You’ll find everything from street rods to custom made machines --over 700 autos on site. If you’re into boats (and let’s be honest, if you’re at the Lake, you must have a keen fondness therein), then partake in the Annual Marine Dealer Boat Show. There are literally millions of dollars worth of PWCs and boats on display on water and off.

There are always a wide range of fairs and carnivals during the summer. In mid-June, you should take part in the Camden County Fair. If you decide to spend your Lake of the Ozarks vacation on Osage River, you should make it a point to visit the Annual Osage River Pow Wow where you can partake in the Native American heritage that is so integral in the Lake. If you arrive to the Lake a few months earlier, you can take part in the Annual Dogwood Festival --food, booths, and live music all at your disposal.
