Lake of the Ozarks Events

AquaPalooza

If you do not know already, AquaPalooza is a title given to a number of water based activities put on over the last two weekends of July at well over 100 areas all over the world. Put together by Sea Ray Boats, AquaPalooza costs nothing and is there for all boaters and non-boaters alike. Every get together has alot of enjoyable activities for friends and family of all age groups, including games, live entertainment, giveaways and a lot more. To put it simply, AquaPalooza is considered the planet’s biggest on-water gathering, held yearly at tons of different areas and locations. One of the famous locations it is being held this year happens to be at the Lake of the Ozarks.

Now coming into it’s 5th year, AquaPalooza continues to grow. It’s gone and tripled in size ever since its beginning and then in 2009 it pulled in roughly 85,000 people and 15,000 boats (in addition to the countless number of people that discovered it in newspapers, magazines and on the Internet). The Signature Event by itself attracted approximately 35,000 people and 4,000 boats to Lake Martin, Alabama. The famous country music superstar Alan Jackson played a concert there which was recorded and broadcast as a 90 minute Labor Day event on CMT.

Created by Sea Ray Boats as well as their network of global dealers, AquaPalooza streches out across the United States and Canada, and even extends to Egypt, Central America and Australia. The headline and main event of every year’s celebration is of course the Signature Event, that takes place in a different US location annually and always features an enormous boat raft-up, giveaways, games and some top musical talent (Cracker, Everclear, Taylor Swift and even Soul Asylum have all performed at previous Signature Events).

Aquapalooza is certain to be described as a fantastic family fun event for tourists and locals alike. In case you have never went to one of these legendary boating parties, then come down with your friends and family to see what you’ve been missing.
